The Scott family legacy in construction spans three generations, beginning with James ‘Jim’ Birkett Scott, who first picked up the tools of the trade as an apprentice cabinet maker in 1941. After serving in World War II, Jim immigrated to Ontario, Canada, where he brought his skills to the construction industry. Eventually, he purchased a farm and built the family home from the ground up—a true testament to his craftsmanship, determination, and vision. Jim’s commitment to quality and his strong work ethic laid the foundation for both his family and his future generations.

Jim’s son, John Robson Scott, grew up immersed in farm life, where hands-on work and problem-solving were part of daily routine. That early exposure translated into a lifelong passion for building. After completing his apprenticeship in Canada, John took his talents across the Atlantic to the UK, where he spent more than 40 years honing his craft. Known for his attention to detail and ability to bring projects to life, John earned a reputation for delivering quality that stands the test of time.

Now, the legacy continues with Adam James Scott, the third generation. Starting out as a labourer, Adam worked his way up through the ranks to become a skilled project manager. His portfolio spans everything from jetty construction on Ontario’s lakes to luxury residential builds in Queenstown, New Zealand. With a young family of his own and a deep respect for the tradition behind him, Adam is proud to carry the Scott name forward—bringing modern expertise to a legacy built on dedication, skill, and family values.
